With fire and song in the wind’s way ?
Indifferent and dumb and sweet,
The seasons fall about his feet.

Comment cet enfant ému a-t-il pu se perdre
Avec feu et chant, sur le chemin du vent ?
Indifférent, muet, doux,
Les saisons tombent à ses pieds.

Il erre à l’est. Il erre à l’ouest.
Où trouvera-t-il un jour à se reposer,
Avec ce feu brûlant dans son cerveau,
Et cet oiseau gémissant dans son cœur ?
